I went to Dipankar’s home where we watched some movie for some time till Ajay came and called us to help him preparing for the Party. We both came out to help him. We all prepared everything that was need for the Party. Anything missing was taken from my home. After preparing everything for the party I began to call up my friends to wish them. I called up Raman, Preety and Barnali. It was nice to hear Preety and Barnali’s voice after a long time.

Meanwhile Prem arrived and began to prepare the food. The kids were also celebrating besides us. They had made the hut by themselves which will be burnt tomorrow morning. Anand Bhaiya was their cook for the occasion. We first of all prepared the chicken and then we all tasted some pieces. I, prem, Ajay, Zoy and Chitra sat @ Dispnkar’s Tenant’s verandah and tossed with chicken. Zoy is really an idiot. to show off that he can bear more than anyone else, he made the pegs very hard. I could hardly have them. 2 pegs was enough for me. I had to rely on the my nicotine sticks rest of the time. I kept roaming all over Bakarapara to see if any incident has taken place, worth noticing. I met Bhaiti, Nishakar, Deepak (Nepali), Yo, Dipankar and others. I also spent some time with Sambhu. I came back and had m dinner with Prem and Ajay. Ajay was totally drunken. He had no sense what he was doing. He somehow had his dinner and Prem dropped him home.

The kids meanwhile kept on bringing wood sticks and other stuffs for the bonfire. I kept on going @ the bonfire made by Nishakar and his friends at short intervals. And also lit the nicotine sticks whenever I felt like I need them.

One thing that happened tonight is that I saw Zoppo’s younger brother was tied with a coconut tree by ropes made of dry banana leaves. After enquiring I found out that he was heavily drunken and was also high on Ero-dex  and Dendrite. He kept on jumping on the bonfire. He had no sense at all. So he was tied with the tree for his on safety. But he kept on calling names on everybody present there. I left after sometime and came back. Prem had also went home after staying there for some time. At about 5 or 5:30 A.M. I came home and went to sleep. Meanwhile Mom wake up and was preparing the Sweets for Bihu. Ahh Had a very tough day I mean night today.

Monday went fine as usual in the office. Today is Lohri. I am a bit excited to celebrate it with my friends after a vey long time. As mom began to prepare for Lohri, known as Bihu in Assamese as in mom’s culture, I called up my relative in Punjab and Pune. First of all I called up Neelo Didi. Jinder picked up the phone. I talked with him and later he handed to phone to Didi. She was happy to hear my voice, as far as I guess! I greeted and wished her happy Lohri. They surprised me by telling that Lohri had been celebrated yesterday @ Punjab. I guess the people there had followed the Nanakshahi Calendar. But the cellphone network was sarcastic or disgusting I say as it kept annoying me again and again by disconnecting itself. Later on I came to know, when they told me that the problem was on their CellPhone. Mom talked with Didi for some time after I finished my talk with Baldev Veerji. I had talked with every member of the family except Juggi, my Neice. Afterwards I Ranged up Mintu’s Phone @ Bajewala, my paternal village. Me and Mom talked with Shinder Didi. One thing that has always confused me is that Soonu never likes to talk with any of our relatives over phone. Her choice! what can I do. One thing that is common between us is that both of us never like to visit any of our relatives except our maternal aunt Purnima @ Lokhra.

Then I ranged up Pritpal Veerji @ Pune. I greeted and wished happy Lohri to Veerji and Guddy Didi. Mom also talked with both of them. Pritpal verji was going to Chennai or Hyderabad for Mom’s Pension’s work. Didi told me that they’ll be going to Punjab on March. Bugga meanwhile had arrived Punjab to celebrate Lohri. After greeting the relatives Mom gave me coconuts to peel for making sweets for the occasion. After peeling 3 and half coconuts, I got ready for bath. After bathe I dressed up and got ready for Office. Mom got fired on me as there were five or six more coconuts left to peel. I took the bus fare left for office leaving my mom behind fuming @ me.

The time passed as normal in the office. At 6:30 I left for home. I asked Arpan sir for some money. He Handed me 200 bucks. At Natun Bazaar, I recharged my cell from Akash Communication for 100 bucks and gave the rest 100 bucks to Ajay for the Party. Everybody was supposed to give 200 bucks for the party. I ranged up Prem and told him to pay 100 bucks for me which I’ll pay him later on.
