Happy New Year 2009 Everybody! 
Despite Being in the first day of the new year I regretted my-self. Guess What? I woke up LATE, what else! Yester night After partying around I thought I’d wake up earlier Today and do the prayers to God early in the morning. But as usual its me waking up again late that earlier days, at 9:30 A.M. AS I woke up Mom smiled ironically telling me that i woke up earlier than rest of the days.
Anyways I didn’t had to regret much as there were Celebration prayers for New Year were being conducted in the Gurudwara at Beltola. I took bath and got ready for Gurudwara. It was just a 15 minutes way on foot from my home. A surprise was waiting for me at Gurudwara. After Bowing infront of the holy book Sri Guru Granth Sahib at the Diwan Hall, I went to the Langar Hall. Rajinder, one of my good friend, had returned from New Delhi. We Wished each other. And yes al of m friends present there wished me and each others. It was a nice pleasure to see everybody around.
Meanwhile I came back and sat at the Diwan hall and listened to the sermons by the elderly and the wise priests and other peoples. It was quite peaceful here. It was like meditation to me. I felt very spiritual. I almost forgot the whole world. After about 2-3 hours There were final prayers for the day and the event. We all look back at the history what we have gained and lost.
Afterwards We, all the people present there, went to the Langar hall and had the lunch. Then I came back. I met Sachitanand, or Sachin as he is commonly known, Sharma and Sanjeev Near Munna tailors shop and spent some time after greeting them. I saw Bubbly going towards my way back to home. (Bubbly is one of my Childhood school friend with whom i haven’t talked since class V. Her Father and my father were very good friends. Its exactly thirteen years now.) She went to Nath’s Home. I thought I should talk to her. I waited for her to come out of Nath’s home. As soon as she came out, I stood up and took leave from my friends. As she came near me, I called out “Bubbly”, She looked at me and said ‘Jasbir!’. I said ‘Yes’. She astonishingly asked me what has happened to me, am i becoming a brahmachari? Why your hairs and beards are long?. I said no. I am just trying to keep Joora this time. I asked her how is she and her family. The were all good according to her. We asked about each other for time time. Then she left for home. As i was about to go from there I heard my mom calling me from Aunt Bhangi’s home. She was sitting near the door listening to the conversation that I and Bubbly had. She told me that the house was locked and the key is with my sister Soonoo who was sleeping inside the house. I came home and called out Soonoo from the window and took key from her. I changed and went out locking the house again and giving the key to Soonoo.
I wandered a little hither and thither and finally i was with Manish and Sachin. In the evening we went to Sambhu’s Residence to see the computer he have bought. It was a nice machine with Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz Processor, 2 GB RAM, 256 or 512 MB graphics card and an 19 Inch TFT monitor. After fiddling with it for some time, We Played Price of Persia:Warrior Within. Its a nice and addicting game. I liked it very much.
At about 9:00 P.M. We all left for our home. I took dinner and after studying for a little i went to sleep. I was happy that atleast something good had happened today on the very beginning of this year. I finally talked to Bubbly. With this cherishing memory i slept tight.
